I found this excellent resource on youtube that explains the "Introduction of GIS" so lucidly. I was trying to dig up some resources on QGIS, an Open Source GIS software. However, I stumbled upon this splendid video that describes what GIS is all about in a nutshell. This video is presented by Jere Flogert from knowgis.com.
