Here is a copy of UTSAV magazine that we (Nepalese at The University of Calgary) created in 2010. I wrote an article called "Reminiscing Karmidanda" on page 7. It is a shame that we were unable to publish further issues of this magazine, nevertheless, the one and only publication of UTSAV was a combined effort of all the Nepalese students at U of C in 2010.

Wildfires in Alberta - 66 burning across the province, 20 out of control, cites Calgary Herald! Just over a month after Nepal got hit by a devastating 7.9 Richter scale earthquake, and recently Texas being inundated with torrential rainfall, natural disaster has not spared Alberta either!

The situation is worse in northern Alberta compared to the south, where the situation is put under control by the wildland firefighters. News on Calgary Herald

USGS states that the economic value of just one year of Landsat data far exceeds the multi-year total cost of building, launching, and managing Landsat satellites and sensors! Landsat has been there for more than 42 years. We've been using Landsat images for various analysis. The efficacy of Landsat data in terms of cost effectiveness is massive!
